Privacy Policy
Effective July 3, 2026
Clausi generates email marketing copy for your business. To do that we handle a small amount of your data. This page explains exactly what, where it lives, and what we never do with it. Plain language, no legal fog.
What we collect
Account information: when you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email address and name. We use this to create and secure your account.
Billing information: payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We store only your subscription plan and billing status.
Brand profiles and generations: the brand details you enter (brand name, products, tone, industry) and the email flows Clausi generates for you are stored in our database (Supabase) so you can revisit them in your history.
Shopify data: if you connect a Shopify store, we store your store domain and the Admin API token you provide, and we fetch product data from your store to make generations more specific. You can disconnect at any time, which deletes the token.
Klaviyo API keys: your Klaviyo private key is used only for the duration of a push request and is never stored on our servers. Each push, you provide it fresh or your browser retains it locally.
How generation works
When you generate a flow, the brand details you entered are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to write the emails. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models.
We do not sell your data, your brand information, or your generated copy to anyone. Your generations are yours.
What we don't do
We don't send email on your behalf. Klaviyo does that, under your own Klaviyo account and their terms.
We don't access your customer lists. Clausi never reads your Klaviyo profiles, segments, or subscriber data. The only Klaviyo operation we perform is creating email templates in your account when you ask us to.
We don't run third-party advertising trackers on the dashboard.
Data retention and deletion
Your brand profiles and generation history are kept while your account is active so your workspace stays intact.
If you want your account and all associated data deleted, email us at hello@claus-i.com and we'll remove it within 30 days. Stripe retains billing records as required for tax and accounting law.
Service providers
Clausi is built on a small number of processors, each handling only what's listed: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Supabase (database hosting), Anthropic (AI generation), Vercel (application hosting). Klaviyo and Shopify are integrations you connect under your own accounts, not our processors.
